Meals On Wheels Volunteer Helps to Insure the Future of MOWNC
In 2010, after completing a rigorous application and site review process by Meals On Wheels America, we were awarded “Exemplary Status” Magnet Accreditation for our outstanding senior nutrition program.
Dale Sourbeck has been faithfully volunteering at Meals On Wheels for four years. Dale comes in almost every day to deliver meals and to help out wherever he is needed. He quickly became part of the “Meals On Wheels Family.” Recently, he and his wife, Joyce decided to revise their will to include a gift provision for Meals On Wheels. When asked what prompted their decision, Dale states, “Besides being a wonderful cause, we felt that due to cuts in government funding it’s very important that Meals On Wheels has the opportunity to continue operating for those who need home delivered meals and want to remain living in their own home.” We are especially grateful to Dale and Joyce for this very profound and thoughtful gift that they have generously provided through their estate plan. It is an honor to welcome them as members of the Dr. Edwin Frey Society in recognition of their support of The Endowment Fund.
We respectfully invite you to consider joining Dale and Joyce as well as the many others who are helping to insure the future of Meals On Wheels. Outright and Future Gifts to the Endowment Fund that qualify for membership in the Dr. Edwin Frey Society include:
– Outright or pledged gifts in the amount of $5,000 and more.
– Future gifts arranged through a beneficiary designation in your will, trust, retirement or insurance plan, real estate or property.
If you have already arranged a similar gift for Meals On Wheels, we would very much appreciate the opportunity to thank you and discuss your membership in the Dr. Edwin Frey Society.
