Who We Are
In 2010, after completing a rigorous application and site review process by Meals On Wheels America, we were awarded “Exemplary Status” Magnet Accreditation for our outstanding senior nutrition program.
Chef Bob Adams aka “Chef Bob”
My love for the culinary field started when I was a little boy. Watching my mom and grandmother cook and bake and making Christmas cookies was a huge event in our house. I always got to help. Then, when I was in high school, I went to Bethlehem Area Vo-Tech for Culinary arts. After I graduated high school, I went into Northampton Community College’s culinary program. During that time I worked at Silver Creek Country Club. After graduating from NCC, I started my first full time job at Moravian College working for Sodexo. After 6 years at Moravian, I went on to be an Assistant Manager at Kutztown University working for Aramark. I spent 3 years at Kutztown. That brings us to today working for Meals On Wheels NC. I love working at this place. It’s a great environment and I know I am cooking food to help out others.
Chef George R. Liros
I was born in New York City and have lived in various parts of New Jersey. I moved to Pennsylvania approximately 30 years ago. I attended The Academy of Culinary Arts in New Jersey and have been in the food industry for 30 years. I’ve worked in restaurants, catering and I was hired privately. I have 2 daughters and enjoy fly fishing, playing the guitar and building them as well.

Before joining Meals on Wheels as Case Manager in 2007, she directed the Emergency Assistance Program at ProJeCt of Easton. “Surely I have the best job at Meals on Wheels,” she says, “because I’m able to meet with every person interested in Meals on Wheels, and get to know them on a more personal level.” Additionally, she can bring her professional experience and knowledge of resources to the Meals on Wheels recipient. Dana experiences great enjoyment visiting with clients, enrolling them in Meals On Wheels, and connecting them with additional community services that will ensure their continued independence as they live meaningful lives in their own homes.
