It’s easy to become a Meals on Wheels client!

If you are beginning to feel that, because of your health or special dietary needs, preparing meals is too difficult for you to do on your own, then consider Meals on Wheels. It’s easy to get the process started! For more than thirty years, Meals on Wheels of Northampton County has supported the independent living of the elderly and disabled.

Who is eligible for Meals on Wheels?
A social worker visits each client before service begins to discuss diet needs and fees. County funds are available to clients who need assistance.

How do I sign up?
Simply call Meals on Wheels and a representative will visit you in your home to discuss your meal options—or click here to fill out our handy online form and a Meals on Wheels client specialist will contact you.

How much does it cost?
The cost of meals varies, depending on your financial circumstances. There are a variety of funding sources available to those in need. On average, most of our customers pay between $14 and $30 per week for one hot meal a day, Monday through Friday.

What are my options?
Customers may choose one hot lunch and one cold dinner daily or one hot lunch Monday through Friday. We also have “Chef’s Packs,” with assorted soups during the winter months and frozen weekend meals available.

What are the meals like?
Our executive chef creates meals that are likened to “good down-home cooking”—nutritious, low-sodium and low-fat. Our clients like to compare our meals to very good diner restaurant meals.
